Recent years have seen a significant increase in venereal diseases. Sexual freedom between consenting adults was a partial cause of this increase. Therefore, there is a need for various types of management measures to reverse the growing number of sexually transmitted diseases.
Ring-shape intravaginal contraceptive sponge containing a spermicidal agent has become an accepted method of birth control in Western society.
